Our client, a reputable not-for-profit organisation is seeking an adaptable and dedicated individual, to join its team as an Apprentice Accountant. This is an exceptional opportunity to kick-start your accounting career while making a positive impact on the community.
As the Apprentice Accountant, you will provide accounting services to the organisation while studying for the AAT qualification. As your knowledge and skills develop, you will gradually take on more ownership of your duties, allowing you to grow both personally and professionally. You will work remotely with 1 day per month based at the Salisbury office for meetings; 1 day per week at college to study AAT.
Your responsibilities as Apprentice Accountant will include:
Posting and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts- Bank reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of month end file
- Learn how to draft the Management Accounts
- Assist with the preparation of the budget and forecasts
- Assist Purchase Ledger with various duties, including processing invoices, setting up bank payments and assisting with supplier queries
- Provide support to the Management Accountants
- Any other reasonable requests
