Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of Round Electrical Distribution who are looking to recruit a Warehouse Counter Sales Operative to join the team with potential to progress to work within the office.

Round Electrical Distribution is an independent electrical wholesaler and as a customer focused company, who concentrate on giving its customers quality products, excellent service and after sales support.

Main duties include:-

Stores

• To ensure stock arriving at the warehouse is accepted, signed for and entered into stock control system in a timely manner.
• Report any breakages and/or missing items to the supplier as soon as possible from any delivery.
• To assist with any warehouse duties as assigned by your manager.
• To act as a relief driver (if applicable). Non drivers will be considered.
• Picking orders from the Warehouse

Sales

• Answer the telephone, taking enquiries and orders plus processing, responding to and chasing quotes and orders.
• Assisting customers both on the telephone and face to face with sales, quotations, product information and pricing queries.
• Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and sales methods, to optimise quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction/loyalty.
• Assist when required in the Stores/Warehouse.
• Adhere to Company safety policy and other requirements relating to care of equipment including keeping the trade counter and work area clean and tidy.

The vacancy is a full time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

Essential:

• Hardworking and ambitious
• Excellent communication and customer care skills (face-to-face and via the telephone)
• A great team player
• High standards of presentation and organisation for the Warehouse and the Sales Counter
• Driving is essential

Desirable:

• Industry-specific sales experience would be advantageous, but isn't essential

Salary – National Minimum Wage
