6 Week Temporary Contract 27 March - 7 May 2023

OVERVIEW:

As a retail team member, you'll play a pivotal part in bringing Gymshark to life. Our store environment is totally unique to Gymshark. Our community and customers are our 'family', so we treat them as such. We don't care if they buy, browse, join a class or just hang out. What matters is providing a safe space where everyone belongs and feels welcome.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Providing a warm welcome and personalised customer experience for everyone who visits our store
  • Ready to support, advise and direct, whether it's for a class, to find product or just walked in to discover who we are, or get directions!
  • Offering the best product recommendations, by asking questions and understanding needs
  • Sharing with our community all the ways they can experience our store, by telling them about our app, and explaining where and how they can book in to classes, events, and services
  • Being consistent and protecting our customer service and engagement, reflected in our store NPS result
  • Supporting rapid replenishment throughout the day, to ensure sizes are always available
  • Maintaining our flagship standard of product presentation, supporting the visual team by following guidelines, supporting new product drops, overnights and floor changes
  • Assisting with operational processes as needed such as store deliveries, audit preparation and seasonal promotions
  • Communicating customer requests in a quick and professional manner, to ensure they get the product as soon as possible
  • Taking direction from our Team Leads in order to support the cover and needs of the store, such as greeting people as they enter to store, supporting queue management, supporting on our fitting rooms or looking after a specific product collection
  • Completing all required training within the set timeframe to ensure compliance, knowledge and safety is maintained
  • Learning about new product, how to wear it, understanding what type of training or activity it was designed for, in order to confidently share with our customers
  • Processing payments, dealing with order queries and supporting exchanges and returns all in line with our policies.
  • Support the set up / break down of instore events and be ready to welcome and direct attendees.
  • Actively supporting direction from leadership, following instructions and remaining informed of the store performance
  • Staying up to date on all store activity by regularly checking communication platforms via the scheduling app, through your Gymshark email and the Gymshark newsletter.
  • Being aware of Global brand events, such as LIFT, in order to talk to our global community about what might be happening where they are
  • Welcoming new and current members of the Gymshark community, sharing with them upcoming activity coming to store, creating a fun, inclusive and diverse community.
  • Be a Brand ambassador by demonstrating how our values show up, through the care of our community, our genuine interest in their stories and experience with Gymshark, and always being honest and open in all our interactions.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Experience working in a customer facing role (high paced is helpful!)
  • A passion for community, wellness, or fitness
  • Able to start conversation and enthusiastic about getting to know people
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A passion for Gymshark Product
  • A positive and solution focused approach
  • Comfortable working with digital technology
  • You can commit to working flexibly, including on weekends or bank holidays
  • To meet the relevant right to work requirements in the UK in place at the time of applying

We are located on Regent Street, Central London with global presence from the Gymshark Community, if you're bi/multilingual we'd love to hear from you (but it's not a prerequisite).

WORKING HOURS:

We have various hourly contracts we are looking fill the following hours, which will include weekends and bank holidays

  • 35 hours per week
  • 21 hours per week
  • 14 hours per week

Need to know about this role:

  • You will be provided with our Team uniform to wear whilst on shift
  • Our shifts vary, the earliest start time might be 7am, and the latest ending at 10pm
  • We run regular overnight shifts which we schedule in based on a rotation of our team
  • Our store environment is bright, loud and full of activity!
  • Interviews will take place on Sunday 26th March

To comply with PCI-DSS standards (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) which governs how we handle, store and access payment data, this position is subject to satisfactory results from necessary pre-employment checks, including a basic DBS check. This will be conducted at offer stage and covers unspent convictions only. In all cases we'll always speak to you first and no offers will be automatically withdrawn.
