About the role

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, worked 5 out of 7 days to include weekends and bank holidays.

Our Retail outlets provide 29% of much needed income to the hospice. This is vital to be able to provide the much-needed care to the people of Derbyshire. The hospice has 15 retail shops,1 furniture warehouse a Donation centre, Clearance shop and 2 Coffee shops! We also have an online eBay/Amazon platform and an online furniture store, It’s a big operation! We are looking for a Retail Shop Manager to join our Retail Team.

The Killamarsh Retail Shop Manager will be responsible for all aspects of managing the brand new Ashgate Hospice shop, situated on Parkside, Killamarsh. The role will involve managing staff, stock management, preparing products as well as the training of staff volunteers.

This job role is hard work, enormous fun, hugely satisfying and very fascinating. About you:

You will be an integral member of the Retail Team at Killamarsh, leading and managing a team. You will be responsible for ensuring the shop is safe, clean and well presented, making sure our customers have a great experience.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of cash handling/Banking protocol
