What’s the Job?
The role will be responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of retail financial records and working closely with the retail team to ensure proper financial data is readily available to assist in decision making.
What will I do?
- Responsible for successfully delivering commercial insight to internal stakeholders, with a focus to help to drive location specific & group profitability and achievement of group objectives.
- Work with the Head of Retail to understand risks and opportunities across a range of store locations; including the ability to challenge, monitor, communicate and propose solutions
- Identify and recommend areas for improvement in both financial and commercial reporting
- Calculate rent due on all stores, comfortably interpreting rent calculations and turnover thresholds from the long-form lease contracts and completing turnover schedules for external stakeholders.
- Plan and forecast for all retail locations and support planning decision making with analysis
- Prepare monthly summaries of balance sheet in order to demonstrate complete reconciliation and ensure accuracy of the balance sheet.
- Monitor key KPIs, feeding that information into monthly Board Packs capable of being shared both internally and with external stakeholders
- Leverage Technology to support automation of reporting and improve access to information that guides the decision making
What skills and qualities will I need?
- ACA/CIMA Qualified (Part-Qualified with sufficient industry experience will be considered)
- 2+ years experience in a retail environment
- Advanced knowledge of excel
- Proactive self-starter who thrives on being fully accountable for their work
- Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage fast changing priorities
- Comfortable with long form complex documents
