Reports to : Head Cook
Responsible to: Home Manager
Job Purpose: To plan, prepare and serve nutritious menus within agreed budgets.
Main Duties
· To plan and manage food production operations including informing the owner of purchasing requirements.
· Plan and develop recipes and menus.
· To ensure that menus are balanced, varied and interesting as well as meeting normal and special dietary requirements.
· To maintain stock at reasonable levels.
· Prepare cook and serve dishes.
· To supervise other staff within the kitchen environment.
· Produce, control and monitor the cleaning operation within the kitchen.
· To help promote resident involvement in the life of the Home.
· To participate in staff meetings and training.
· Maintain strict confidentiality on all matters arising from any discussions or any meetings within which you are involved.
· To maintain strict confidentiality on all matters in relation to the Care Homes and all other matters to do with Rosewood Healthcare Group.
· At all times to comply with the Health and Safety and all other policies within all premises of Rosewood Healthcare Group.
