Job description
The role:
As part of our guest facing team, you’ll help them find the perfect memento so they remember their day with us. A good eye for detail and presentation is desirable, as merchandise will need to be priced, bar coded, fully stocked and displayed attractively. Daily duties include:
· Welcoming guests into the shop with a warm, friendly smile, assisting with any queries.
· Participating in stock demonstrations and upselling products to increase sales.
· Working on the till processing purchases, following cash handling procedures.
· Replenishing stock to ensure shop floor is always ready for service.
· Making sure the shop is clean and tidy, undertaking cleaning tasks such as emptying bins, dusting, mopping floors and general custodial duties.
Hours and Duration
Seasonal Contract (February - October 2023). Full time and part time work available; choose to work from 3 - 5 days per week. Working hours vary on a 7 day rota basis with start times from 9am to 12pm. Finish times vary as business requires. Due to the nature of the business weekend work will be required, including bank holidays.
COMPETITIVE RATES OF PAY; ABOVE NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE
Who we’re looking for…
Have you got an eye for detail and presentation? Are you bubbly, enthusiastic and full of energy? If so, join the retail team and help us exceed guest’ expectations. A positive, ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to work effectively with others is essential. You must also be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, with great attention to detail. Cash handling experience is also advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
