We have a variety of exciting Sales Assistant roles based at our Cardiff store in our Bedrooms, Living Rooms and Textiles departments.

Scheduled interview dates: Between 01 and 07 August 2023.
Scheduled induction date: 19 August 2023.

WHO YOU ARE
You are confident in approaching customers, treating them in a polite and friendly manner. You have an entrepreneurial spirit, a motivated mindset, and enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

For the Living Rooms and Bedrooms roles, we feel it is necessary that you have some sales or retail experience, working directly with and building rapport with customers. For the Textiles role, we feel it is desirable that you have customer service experience.

Ideally, you will have a knowledge of the IKEA Concept and Values, and if you don't just yet, you have an eagerness to learn more. In IKEA, we place great emphasis on leading others and ourselves with a positive approach, even during the busiest and most challenging times.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY-TO-DAY

• You actively approach customers to identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their life at home through home furnishings
• You are always passionate about our product range and home furnishings, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design.
• You support maximising sales by being proud of your areas of responsibility, ensuring the customer meets an area that is clean, well presented and easy to shop.
• You will ideally be competent with IT to use planning tools and relevant programmes to support selling to the customer.
