The Resuscitation & Simulation team are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join them as a Resuscitation & Simulation Technician.
Previous experience is not necessary, but you must have an interest in technology, good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team. You will have a keen eye for detail, be able to organise your time effectively and have an interest in teaching basic skills.
The Resuscitation & Simulation team is small but diverse in experience, so the successful applicant will be an effective team member, passionate about delivering education in a health care setting.
- Maintenance of training equipment, including manikins, simulators and skills models.
- Support the continued development of the Technology Enhanced Learning Suite, ensuring all virtual reality simulators are updated and functioning.
- Ordering of equipment and consumable stock.
- Preparing training rooms for teaching sessions including the set up of all simulators or resuscitation equipment and laptops and/or audio-visual apparatus.
- Arranging for faulty equipment to be repaired.
- Assist in all simulation teaching activities.
- Undertake relevant training to take part as a participant or demonstrator in teaching sessions.

To manage resources within the Resuscitation & Simulation service. To order stock and maintain equipment. To set up and participate in simulations and resuscitation teaching sessions as delegated with the supervision of the Resuscitation & Simulation Trainers, Resuscitation Officers or Undergraduate Clinical Skills and Simulation Lead. To liaise with a range of internal and external educators, ensuring effective organisation of courses.
