Old Thorns Hotel & Resort have exciting opportunities for Food and Beverage Assistants to join our Restaurant team. If you are looking for a new and exciting role, in a fast-paced and lively environment with a strong desire to be a key contributor within a team then look no further!

We are looking for team members who are passionate about hospitality and can work well within our existing Restaurant team to ensure the smooth running of the Restaurant and provide our customers with the best experience possible. We have flexible shifts available to cover Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner services.

You will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, organisational and communication skills and be excited and knowledgeable about food and beverage.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To process orders through the till / check system and serve as appropriate.
  • To ensure that all charges are raised for food and beverage consumed, in accordance with procedures laid down.
  • To serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as requested, adhering to weights and measures and licensing laws
  • To clear tables using trays and resetting and ensure your working areas are kept clean and tidy at all times
  • To complete opening and closing procedures as set down by the company
  • To be fully aware of current liquor licensing laws and ensure that these are strictly adhered to
  • To always deliver the highest standards of customer service to our customers and ensure service is prompt and according to company procedures

  • Smart personal presentation and a polite and friendly manner
  • Passionate about delivering the highest standards of customer care
  • Previous experience as a Restaurant Assistant desirable but not essential

What to expect?
