About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Technology and IT Service Delivery Lead to oversee restaurant technology and IT service delivery for our rapidly growing network of quick service restaurants. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the technology systems used by quick service restaurants, as well as a strong background in IT service management. This person will be responsible for overseeing restaurant technology projects, managing IT service delivery and providing guidance to ensure that our restaurant technology is best in class.
The Day-to-Day:
- Provide oversight of new restaurant technology implementations, including point of sale (POS) systems, loyalty programs, delivery platforms, and other relevant technologies.
- Develop and execute technology projects across our network of QSR restaurants, including new system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Manage IT service delivery across our restaurants, ensuring that all technology systems are running smoothly and efficiently, and that all incidents are resolved in a timely manner.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring that they meet contractual obligations and provide high-quality services.
- Develop and maintain IT service management policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring that all IT service delivery activities comply with industry best practices and regulations.
- Monitor and analyse IT service delivery performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement process improvements to enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including franchisees, restaurant managers, IT teams, and senior leadership.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including franchisees, vendors, and technology partners, to drive IT service delivery initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring that all project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
- Manage changes, ensuring the changes to the technology stack are made efficiently, with minimum impact on restaurant operations.
- Work collaboratively with Yum Global Security function to implement global security policy, standards, procedures, and work instructions to ensure ongoing maintenance of cyber security.
- Provide regular reports to the Director of Technology on project progress and IT service delivery performance.
- Lead regular tech reviews with key stakeholders including franchisees, vendors, and technology partners.
- Stay up to date with the latest restaurant technology trends and innovations, providing insights and recommendations to the Director of Technology.
- Collaborate with Technology and Operations Leadership to bring technology initiatives to life.
- Support the Director of Technology in developing relevant documentation, including external presentations (e.g., partner sell-in decks), business cases, external presentations, technology roadmaps and technical architecture diagrams.
Is This You?
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in technology project management, with a focus on restaurant technology and IT service delivery.
- Robust understanding of solutions architecture.
- Strong knowledge of IT service management principles, including ITIL.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience managing complex technology projects, preferably in a QSR or hospitality environment.
- Excellent knowledge of technology systems used by quick service restaurants (e.g., KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Nando’s, McDonald’s)
- A good working knowledge of technology systems used by Yum brands across all channels, including NCR POS, Deliverect, Punchh, and LineTen is desirable.
