Are you an experienced member of waiting staff looking to work in a high-volume fresh food restaurant and bar? The Thai Street Café is an award-winning authentic Thai kitchen and bar with a twist of the classic street food concept. We have been established for over 10 years and are proud to have become one of Newmarket’s highest go-to venues with a reputation behind us.

The job itself
- Greeting customers and managing the reservations.
- Inform customers about the day’s specials and offer menu recommendations upon request.
- Up-sell additional products when appropriate.
- Taking the customers’ orders and delivering them to the kitchen staff for preparation.
- Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness/presentation and report any problems.
- Making sure that the customers are satisfied, giving bills and processing payments.
- Operating the bar and coffee station.
- Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Waiter or Waitress. You must know the steps of service.
- Experience making drinks - we have bar staff but sometimes you are required.
- Must be able to work full time including Friday and Saturday evenings (closed on Sundays).
- Hands-on experience with cash registers and ordering systems.
- Be attentive and a team player.
- Excellent presentation skills and customer service.
- Strong organisation and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- Active listening and effective communication skills.
