JOB TITLE: Restaurant Manager

JOB LOCATION: Watford (WD17)

RESPONSIBLE TO: Area Manager/Franchisees

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Overall responsibility for the operational, administrative and store performance of 1 units

UK VISA SPONSORSHIP: Available for the right candidate to relocate to the UK

RELOCATION PACKAGE: No monetary package applicable, however the company will provide necessary assistance with relocation.

ROLE TYPE: Permanent

JOB SUMMARY: To provide operational support and training for the assigned store. To deliver high level and effective training in all aspects of management and store operation. To provide cover in the when required and to be involved in store openings.

1. OPERATIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To ensure that the unit achieve the set targets through high standards of quality, customer service, cleanliness, and promotional activities.
  • To implement the company’s promotional campaigns.
  • Ensuring the opening and closing of the unit and to maintain adequate security.
  • To ensure all company’s operational procedures are followed correctly.
  • To ensure that the unit maximises sales by total adherence to all Company systems and procedures.
  • To ensure that the total menu offer is available in the units throughout trading hours.
  • To learn all aspects of food preparation and production by working alongside team members.
  • To ensure that 100% of the menu is available, ready and on display by opening time.
  • To communicate effectively with all staff and senior management.
  • To identify areas of operation improvement and to lead by example.
  • To be responsible for all food safety and health and safety aspects in line with Company policy including standards.
  • Ensuring security of staff and units.
  • Ensure all staff and units are well presented and identifying and monitoring and remedial issues with equipment or units
  • Resolving any customer complaints or service issues.
  • To ensure store keys are kept safe at all times and only given to authorised personnel.
  • To achieve labour and COS budgets set by the company.

2. TRAINING DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY:

  • To ensure all new employees have been inducted correctly.
  • To ensure all employees are trained to a high standard an ALL aspects of the job, to create flexibility and interest. And all training are logged and updated correctly.
  • Maintain all staff files and administrations are up-to-date.
  • To monitor and assess staff competency and to conduct staff appraisals
  • To implement succession planning strategies.
  • To oversee all store recruitment as required.
  • Staff disciplinary/grievance procedure.
  • Conducting appraisals of staff.

3. STOCK:

  • To ensure that sufficient level of stocks is available in the unit at all times.
  • To ensure security of stocks.
  • Inventory checks are carried out on a weekly basis and to investigate stock discrepancies.

4. FINANCIAL & ADMINISTRATION:

  • Responsible for overall control of financial administration in the unit i.e. stocks, cash, labour/payroll and inventory.
  • To ensure all records kept in the unit is up to date.
  • To investigate any discrepancies.
  • Ensure all daily and weekly paperwork is completed to the standard required.
  • Ensure all memos and instructions from the company or area manager are action within the time scale.
  • To report daily figures to senior management.
  • Ensure all daily and weekly paperwork is completed to the standard required.
  • Overall responsibility for safe, keys and other security measures.
  • To investigate cash shortages and other discrepancies and take appropriate action.
  • Bank daily and check all documentation daily.
  • To ensure till and safe float are maintained at the level authorised by H/O.

5. GENERAL:

  • To attend meetings and courses, as directed by the company.
  • To be available in case of emergency.
  • To present a professional demeanour at all times when dealing with all company employees and customers.
  • To carry out other duties and projects as requested by senior management.

6. Health and Safety:

  • The company has a clear health and safety policy and this must be followed at all times. Checklists and procedures assist in the delivery of this policy and must be completed thoroughly.

7. Other Duties:

  • The above list is not designed to be exhaustive and you may be asked to assist in other areas as required by the business and subject to the necessary training being given. Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £21,612.40-£30,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • > 3 years of independently verifiable Restaurant Manager (required)

Language:

  • fluent English (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • food safety certification (preferred)
