We are working in partnerships with a collection of venues to secure a General Manager for their 16th century property in the heart of North Yorkshire. The venue has recently undertaken renovations and refurbishments and offers both indoor and outdoor dining options along with cosy bar area.

As a candidate you would be experienced passionate and a strong leader of people with the ability to build teams along with being the face of the business to all visitors. There is no accommodation at this property, so you would need to be able to access the venue ideally with your won transport.
Role:
- A strong leader with proven ability to inspire and lead the team to deliver results across the complete operation
- Strong customer focus with drive to ensure the guest experience exceeds the customers’ expectations and our key ratings are 5*
- An excellent business manager with proven experience in adding value commercially by always looking for ways to drive sales and boost the business
- Proven experience in developing people within their team and talent spotting for the future
- Strong financial skills and be able to manage all audits and due diligence
- Ability to successfully manage budgets, labour costs and forecasting
- An engaging management style that always inspires a team to excel at delivering great guest service
- A passion for delicious food and drinks and great service
Requirements:
- Appropriate level of experience and understanding of delivering a high-quality experience across restaurant and bar
- Proven record of managing cost centres
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills at levels appropriate for the Accountabilities of the Post
- Numeracy and ability to read and understand accounts and other financial data
- Demonstrable leadership skills and ability to train staff to the required standard of the group.
