The role:


Job Title
: Wholesale Account Manager

Reports To: Director of Coffee / Senior Sales Manager

Customary Hours: 40-45 hours per week (Mon-Fri)

Place of Work: Redemption Roasters HQ, London

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage Customer Relationships: Provide specialty coffee expertise, technical consultation, and training to wholesale customers. Focus on acquiring and retaining high-quality wholesale accounts, with an emphasis on independent cafes, restaurants, hotels, and retail.

  • Drive Sales: Help increase sales of coffee and related products and services within the existing client base and identify new leads. This may include cold calling as needed.

  • Equipment Support: Assist with equipment installations and provide technical support.

  • Training and Tastings: Conduct on-site training, tastings, and cuppings when necessary to educate and engage clients.

  • Troubleshooting: Effectively troubleshoot client problems in a timely manner.

  • Record Keeping: Use Copper CRM to maintain clear records of all site visits, important information, and client interactions.

  • Support Events: Assist with tastings, sales-related meetings, and industry events as required. Be prepared for occasional weekend work.

  • Stay Informed: Remain informed about trends and new products relevant to the specialty coffee industry.

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain customer relationships.

  • Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Passion for Coffee: Passion for specialty coffee with in-depth knowledge of brewing techniques, cupping, and coffee extraction processes.

  • Technical Skills: Basic technical skills, including grinder adjustment, changing burrs and seals, and replacing water filters.

  • Commercial Acumen: Understand the department’s top-line commercial objectives and make strategic decisions accordingly.

  • Quality-Driven: Driven by the quality of the product and service.

  • Organizational Skills: Highly structured and organized with sound time management skills.

  • Self-Motivated: Energetic and self-motivated with strong self-management skills.

  • Professionalism: Be an ambassador for Redemption, embodying our company values as you interact with a range of customers and stakeholders.

  • Flexibility: This role requires a hybrid working approach, including frequent travel within the Greater London area, occasional travel within the UK, and internationally.

  • A full UK driving license is desirable but not essential.
