My client operates a diverse portfolio of established hospitality, retail, leisure and accommodation businesses in a stunning part of South Devon. We are looking to recruit a Food & Beverage Manager to oversee all aspects of their stylish restaurant and bar located right on the picturesque harbourside.

The Role
This new Restaurant and Bar Manager role will work closely with the Operations Manager & well-known Executive Chef in the re positioning of this established and stylish fresh food restaurant and contemporary bar which has recently undergone a significant refurbishment programme.
The role will include but is not limited to:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operation, ensuring the highest level of customer service.
- Maximising revenue and develop the business, working closely with the marketing team to broaden the customer base through the year.
- Maximising profit by controlling costs and wastage.
- With support set up and implement Standard Operations Procedures to ensure consistency in standards are met.
- Recruit and train the team, ensuring regular reviews and personal development plans are in place.
- Responsible for Health & Safety & Food Safety Standards and ensure that all the team are trained in these areas.
- Working to budgets and be able to forecast sales and control operating and labour costs.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role it is essential that you have the following skills:
- A strong Management background in a comparable Restaurant, Bar or similar hospitality venue.
- A good food and beverage knowledge
- A real focus on detail and service culture
- An understanding of restaurant booking systems and how to maximise revenue through these.
- Food Hygiene Level2.
- Computer literate – ideally competent is MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
