Could you help support the South London Coroner’s Court to deliver its judicial duties in a role where no two days are the same? We are seeking to recruit a part-time Resources Officer into this fast paced and diverse role in the South London Coroner’s Court administrative team.
As a Resources Officer, you will play a key role in delivering the effective running of the Coroner’s Court as well as supporting Coroner’s Officers in obtaining information critical to the cases they are managing. This is a front facing role where you will support a wide range of people in writing, in person and by telephone.
Your excellent customer service and communication skills will tie in with your ability to relate to people from backgrounds reflecting the diversity of the people who live across South London.
We are looking for people who can make a difference to the lives of people who have lost family members, loved ones or friends. This role requires the ability to deliver important services compassionately, whilst being personally emotionally resilient when dealing with residents at a very difficult time in their lives.
This is a part-time role working 8am-4pm on Thursdays and Fridays.
We are looking for someone with:
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow defined processes in a timely manner whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy
Experience of providing high levels of customer care and professionalism to members of the public
The ability to prioritise work effectively and work independently to meet deadlines
Excellent IT skills
This role requires close working with fellow professionals from the Metropolitan Police, Registrars, Hospital Mortuaries, Funeral Directors, and many others, so outstanding communication and collaboration skills are essential
