Salary: £24,000 per annum

Location: Undy near Magor (off J23 of the M4)

Contract/Hours: Permanent Full Time – 37 hours per week

About the service

The home is for a young person who has a learning disability, complex needs and has experienced extensive trauma in his life. By creating a nurturing, attachment-based environment, you can ensure he gets the right support to foster his development.

At the same time, we will provide specialist learning, training and Supervision to speed your professional development – alongside a competitive rewards package.

A bit about the role

The young person's care will involve professional practice that is sensitive to his trauma history. Our model will provide an environment where he will receive positive experiences of reliable, consistent parenting through providing specific and structured care, with very clear consistent boundaries

We are now seeking a Residential Worker to help us maintain the high standards of care and personal development our young people have come to expect. You'll do this by instilling your compassion and ambition in everything you do, always with our young people front of mind.


How you'll help to create brighter futures

  • Assessing, reviewing, planning, and providing a 24/7 care service in line with regulatory requirements
  • Leading shifts and managing risks whilst maintaining high quality care that is safe, personalised and outcome focused for children and young people in our care
  • Supporting with taking part in fun activities, learn new skills and work towards independence
  • Supporting with personal care, communication, administration of medication and clinical procedures

Let's talk about you

  • A Level 3 Social Care Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a trauma informed setting, residential short breaks or children's services
  • Experience of clear, concise record keeping via IT systems
  • Understanding of GDPR, Safeguarding and relevant policies
  • A clean driving license with access to a car with business insurance is essential
