Entry Level - Laboratory Technician

Location: Heathrow


Salary: £25,039.30 (including London Weighting)


We are looking for a versatile Laboratory Technician to join our team in Heathrow.

The role will encompass a diverse range of Laboratory responsibilities, including general lab administration, a variety of different Lab tests and various other daily laboratory duties.

Whilst previous experience working within a Laboratory environment is preferable, it is not essential as we are looking for a keen team player who can learn on the job.

Important data entry will be a fundamental part of this role, so a keen eye for detail and accuracy is essential.

Core responsibilities:

  • Data entry of important test results
  • Following stringent quality procedures to perform testing
  • Carrying out various soil and concrete tests throughout the lab
  • Liaise with the quality department to book in calibration or report equipment failure
  • Maintain good laboratory practice, maintenance of laboratory equipment and safe working procedures.
  • Always maintain good housekeeping standards. Keeping all areas clean, tidy, and free from obstruction and hazards. Any other tasks assigned by your senior or lab manager
    Assist with UKAS Audits
    Having the ability to work as part of a team and the initiative to be able to work solely.
    To Ensure the current turnaround times for in house testing are being met.

Experience / Skills:

  • Educated to GCSE level or above with a good level of numeracy and literacy
  • Experience in construction laboratory testing is advantageous
