Our Service:
Our children’s home in is located in a semi-rural area on two acres of land. Therefore the home is spacious and can provide long term care for up to eight children aged between 8-18 years old. The children who live with us, live in an environment of care and support that gives attention to their individual’s needs. We work with them to help them to stay safe, be healthy, make a positive contribution, and develop their own resources, to help them achieve economic well-being.
Staff work with children to provide them with a combined framework of care, which includes social and recreational activities in the home, educational activities and lessons and therapeutically informed parenting.
About You:
You will fully support the Manager in ensuring the home operates as efficiently as possible whilst maintaining the highest quality of support and assessment.
You will demonstrate a good awareness of child development, family dynamics, safeguarding, and the impact on the child from parental mental health, substance misuse, domestic violence and learning disabilities.
You will support the team in delivering positive outcomes for parents and their children, starting every day with a fresh outlook and the passion to make a difference.
You are expected to have completed, be working towards or be willing to work towards one or more of the following:
Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care
Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce
Level 3 Diploma in Youth Work Practice
Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare
Or similar qualification for working with vulnerable people
Responsibilities include:
Perform regular night checks and assist our young people during the night.
To provide support to our young people within the Home or the wider community as appropriate.
To follow and ensure Ofsted standards are met and strive to exceed them
Complete health and safety checks and cleaning tasks as set out within the Home’s daily duties.
To work flexibly across the service and with other agencies, partners, and stakeholders to meet the needs of the people we provide a service too.
To ensure that the safety and welfare of our children is paramount.
Follow all Policies and Procedures and work within legislative guidelines and best practice
Build and maintain high quality and appropriate professional relationships with children to enable positive change to take place
Undertake any training and development necessary to meet the duties and responsibilities of the post
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with your colleagues, line managers and the Senior Management Team
Promote a positive workforce culture that is focused on the development and improvement of the centre.

Salary :
Salary and grades will be determined on evidence provided through your application form, the interview process and certificates (see job description for more information)
Support Worker grade A £11.50
Senior Support Worker – Grade B £12.20
Team Leader – Grade C £13.50
