Hours: Full time 37 hours a week - Part time 18.5 hours a week. Hours include shift working, sleep in duties, alternate weekends and bank holiday working

Location: Residential Children’s Homes across the City of Derby

We facilitate the development and empowerment of each young person, so they grow into mature responsible adults.
As a Residential Child Care Worker your key role will be to support children and young people within a residential setting. Our residential children’s homes provide short to long term care for young people and children who for a variety of reasons are unable to live with their families. This also includes young people with emotional or behavioural difficulties who may also have other complex needs.

Residential Child Care Worker level 2
Ideally you will have previous experience in this field or transferrable skills, however if you don’t have qualifications or experience in a children’s residential setting, don’t worry, we can provide training to equip you with the necessary knowledge, skills and professional qualifications to deliver the very best outcomes for young people.
Residential Child Care Worker level 3
You will need to hold a NVQ L3 Level three diploma in care of children and young people or equivalent / Children, Young People and/or Families Practitioner Level 4. You will be expected to lead and develop a staff team, whilst ensuring that the best possible outcomes are achieved for our children and young people.

All applicants must be aged 22 and over due to children home’s regulations.
You must hold a clean full driving licence and have written, numeracy, administration & I.T skills in order to complete daily case records, care plans, reports & financial records
