Our homes are in Friday Bridge, Cambs & Outwell, Norfolk, a range of shift patterns - especially late afternoons, evenings and waking night work are currently available.

Full time hours currently available. Condensed working patterns available. Typically core staff work 5 long days on, 5 days off as a rolling rotation.
We have a separate staff flat for sleep-ins. In the highly unlikely event of an emergency you are paid for time spent working if on a sleep in shift.
Why do we work like this? It means the children and young people get fantastic levels of continuity of care and a consistent approach to their 24 hour/day wrap around care. Work is easier for staff as they can see the positive impact they have with the children.

Job Summary
Responsibilities and Duties
The key areas of the job role involve supporting children and teenagers to develop and meet identified positive outcomes, day to day care of children in the group, cooking, cleaning, going on recreational activities and holidays with them, report writing, acting as an advocate in professional meetings, mentoring, supporting with educational needs, encouraging their participation in clubs and hobbies in the community.
Qualifications and Skills
GCSE level English and Maths or equivalent as a minimum. BTEC L3 Residential Childcare is not essential to start with us, but will be required by Ofsted to start after a successful probation period if not already obtained.
Prior experience of working in a children's home is not required. Those who do have experience and their Level 3 diploma in Residential Childcare / Children and Young People's Workforce could attract a salary at the higher end of the pay scale.

We have waking night staff working through the night completing household tasks and taking care of the home, but do require a member of the team to sleep on site in the staff flat on a rota basis in case of emergency.
We pride ourself on our in-depth training programme. All our staff are trained on our therapeutic approach over a minimum of 8 days a year.
It is necessary to have satisfactory Enhanced DBS Check and references completed before commencing employment with us for this job role.
