Reception - Holiday Inn Express Glenrothes
Contract: Part time
Salary: 9.50
On the edge of the town of Glenrothes, within easy reach of Edinburgh City, Perth and historic St Andrews, this hotel is ideal for business and leisure travel. Offering friendly and affordable accommodation, all 49 bedrooms at the hotel were refurbished in 2014 and offer onsite car parking for up to 70 cars.
Guests can enjoy fly fishing on nearby Loch Leven, golfing on one of the championship golf courses in nearby St Andrews, Carnoustie and Gleneagles or a visit to the stately, historical Balgeddie & Balbirnie Houses in Glenrothes. One of Fife's premier conference venues, Rothes Halls is also nearby.
Job Description
We are looking for a Resident Services Assistant to support and complete the day to day tasks of the departmental operations.
You will be approachable and friendly people person with the willingness support and maintain a close relationship to residents throughout their stay.
This role is a multi-tasking role, and you will be required to be adaptable to ensure that the needs of the residents are always met.
Our hotel is currently operating under a government exclusive use contract, and we are providing our great facilities to residents on a long-term stay basis. Due to this exclusive contract the hotel is closed to the public and is operating under a different model to your usual hotel operation.
The advertised role is a 16 hour position with the opportunity of more hours as and when needed.

Role in our Family
As a Resident Services Assistant, key to your role is:
- To operate the hotel reception (24hr) to the agreed hotel standards
- Ensuring the set up of the restaurant and bar for mealtimes
- Basic meal production, with Food Safety and Hygiene practises followed
- Maintaining of buffets and clearing/sanitising of tables in restaurant area
- To maintain the reception, food and beverage outlets, public areas, stores, back office and staff areas in a clean and tidy condition.
- Deal with any guest queries/complaints in a polite and friendly manner ensuring guest satisfaction
- All complaints, comments, special requests and other business to be recorded in the daily handover log.
- To clearly communicate with other departments to ensure minimal impact on guest service.
- To operate the bar and restaurant to the agreed hotel standards
- To ensure all rooms are turned around in an efficient manner
