Data Business Partner – SQL / Power BI
A highly reputable corporation that operates within the finance sector is currently recruiting a Data Business Partner who has strong capabilities in SQL / Power BI coupled with a minimum of one years’ experience in data analysis within an enterprise corporation working with large data sets. The chosen Data Business Partner will join a team of 14 to be based in Wolverhampton or Chatham on a hybrid working basis (one day per week in office) paying up to £42,000 per annum + 15% bonus.
The key purpose of this role is to support business functions in getting access to the data and analysis they require today and in the future. This role will focus on being a knowledgeable business partner to a business area or domain to provide data insights and products that support the leadership of that area. Leading the development of analytical reporting, dash boarding, visualisations and statistical analysis to support an area of our client.
Additionally, if the chosen Data Business Partner has an experience in Python, NoSQL, IBM Cognos, Tableau or SSRS any of these technologies would be highly desirable.
- Create a trusted partner data relationship with a business areas across the Group
- Ensure Data Governance standards, polices and controls are built in to Analytics practises
- Ensure data analysis and content is delivered on time and to expected quality
- Ensure all Data Analytics work is fully documented
- Advise and contribute to delivery planning and projects for all Data Analytics elements
- Work alongside other internal teams to train and migrate them to use data platforms and solutions
- Continually look for innovative ways to make improvements based on the latest trends and research
- Relevant experience in Data analytics techniques and concepts including MI, BI, Analytics, visualisation, dashboarding (must have)
- Experience of programming and query language (including SQL) (must have)
- Creating data visualisations and analysis using Power BI (must have)
- Relevant experience of applying data analysis and decision support services to a Financial Services organisation (nice to have)
- Use of cloud data solutions (nice to have)
- Statistical knowledge (nice to have)
- Machine learning / artificial intelligence experience (nice to have)
- Any experience of Python, NoSQL, IBM Cognos, Tableau or SSRS (nice to have) you will gain training on these!
