An excellent opportunity has arisen for a research technician to join a multidisciplinary, successful team focused on developing novel drug testing models. You will play a central role in supporting the research activities of the lab. You will have a relevant laboratory research experience in 3D cell culture or a related discipline.

The role will focus on supporting the ongoing research projects, including support with organ-on-chip devices, live microscopy, cytotoxicity and viability assays, and in providing general molecular biology and biochemical technical support, including helping maintain equipment, stocks, solvents, and waste to ensure the smooth running of the laboratory. We welcome enthusiastic, motivated and driven team-players willing to work in a research environment, and keen to build upon their skills and experience.

The post will be based in the Institute of Cancer Therapeutics (ICT) at the University of Bradford. The ICT has an international reputation for translational research leading to the identification of novel therapies and additionally provides laboratory support to early phase clinical trials. The ICT has dedicated facilities for medicinal chemistry, drug analysis, cell and molecular biology, cancer pharmacology, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, and in vivo tumour biology, all under one roof.
