JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join the Analytical Chemistry Group of Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. at Tarrytown, NY. In this role you will be applying the state-of-the-art mass spectrometry technology to support biochemical characterization of therapeutic protein at all stages of development from early to late stage and use different LC-MS platforms to tackle analytical problems in developing innovative mass spectrometry strategies to support R&D programs.
A TYPICAL DAY IN THE ROLE OF SCIENTIST MIGHT LOOK LIKE:
- Develop primarily LC-MS based analytical methods to support development activities drug candidates including monoclonal, bispecific antibodies, antibody drug conjugates, and new drug modalities
- Develop and perform analysis by LC-MS to support product and purification process development
- Independently conduct analytical experiments on therapeutic proteins, analyzes mass spectrometry data and provides data in a quality presentation form (graphs, figures, tables, etc.) to support regulatory submissions and peer-reviewed publications
- Document experiments, results and findings in electronic laboratory notebook; presents work at the group, department and cross-functional team meetings; participates in the writing of technical reports, SOPs, and analytical method protocols, etc.
- General lab and instrument maintenance

This role requires a B.S. or M.S. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering (or related field) with between 3-6 years of proven experience in mass spectrometry and protein characterization is highly preferred (level will be commensurate with experience). Experience in mass spectrometry, chromatographic separation, and bottom-up proteomics especially in host cell protein are desired.
