We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and highly organised individual in the Research Development team to coordinate delivery of an efficient and effective service to our academic colleagues.

Based within Research and Innovation Services, this role provides administrative support to the functions of research grant and research staff development.

You will join a busy team to:

  • Support, devise and improve demand management processes for funding calls.
  • Maintain content on our webpages and wikis, and propose continuous improvements.
  • Act as first point of contact for the central email inbox.
  • Process financial transactions relating to the work of the team.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and papers.
  • Provide general administration support, such as minute taking, setting up meetings.
  • Work across the department to support cross-team projects, events and operations.

About you

With a proven track record in administration, preferably gained within a fast-paced office environment, you will be adept at multi-tasking and unfazed by the demands of multiple requirements. You will possess excellent interpersonal skills, together with a positive, professional manner and the ability to deal considerately, and confidently with people at all levels.

This role is offered on part time 21.9 hours per week, permanent basis.
