Job description
We’re a London-based fintech startup who have just raised a $3.5mn seed round. Our seed round was led by Lakestar, who previously invested in Revolut, Spotify, and Facebook. In 2020 we were named Financial Technology Innovation of the Year and Tech Nation Rising Star. Our mission is to help you retire with a larger pension.
Most adults in the UK hold their pension in a pension fund. Pension funds give the money in your pension pot to asset managers so that asset managers can invest the money and, hopefully, increase the value of your pension over time. In return for managing the fund, asset managers charge fees.
Most pension funds have poor understanding of the fees they are paying, often being overcharged. As a result, by the time you retire as much as 40% of your pension has been paid to asset managers in the form of fees.
ClearGlass is a digital platform which allows pension funds to discover, analyse, and compare the fees that asset managers are charging them. Pension funds can then use this data to negotiate better deals, reduce costs, and allow us all to retire with larger pensions.
As of June 2021, ClearGlass has helped more than 800 pension funds & asset owners, with a combined value of over 700 billion pounds, to see their fees. We also work with pension funds in Europe and southern Africa.
We’ve recently raised our seed round with some of Europe’s leading VCs. We have the support of UK government bodies, and some of the biggest players in the pension industry.
We're looking for an ambitious analyst to be part of our growing data team and help take our Data Operations to the next level. We're a close-knit, fun and dynamic team. We champion autonomy and you will be expected to manage your own operational workflow and goals within the context of the overall team’s workflow and goals. This opportunity will best suit someone who is in the early stage of their career, curious about data; be analytical and willing to manage and organise the activities of rapidly evolving business processes within the Data Operations.
This team is responsible for collecting high volumes of complex data from a wide range of sources, and processing, validating, and loading it into our online platform. The investment cost transparency and benchmarking reports we provide to our end-users are all underpinned by the data managed by this team.
Responsibilities:
Build relationships with external stakeholders (asset managers) who supply us with data that goes in the client reports
Work closely with our client success managers to prioritise the activities of your operational workflow to ensure the right data is available to our end customer at the agreed time and that it meets all quality criteria
Administer and set up your portfolio of clients for data collection in our online platform
Collect and process data files provided by asset managers and validate the data using our platform
Engage with external stakeholders (asset managers) to resolve client data queries
Work with the wider data team to establish and refine day-to-day operational processes and procedures to ensure the team's data coverage and quality metrics are met or exceeded at all times
Carrying out industry-specific research to better understand the potential subject matter and to strengthen your knowledge.

Manage the report delivery workflow of your portfolio of clients using Jira work management.
Use existing reports to communicate and quantify key blockers in the delivery process to the Head of Data on a weekly basis, our decisions are data-driven!
1-2 years of work experience or a recent graduate from a STEM backgroundProblem-solver, able to work both as part of a dynamic team and independently
Motivated by the opportunity to play a key role in the growth and development of one of ClearGlass’s core operations
A self-starter with high levels of curiosity
Basic knowledge of the Investment Management industry (Nice to have)
