Job description
- Coordinate the video production process end to end; ideation and ideas gathering, capture, edit and assembly to distribution - with digital best practices remaining front of mind.
- Working with the Premier League and third parties to create content that is commercially and strategically valuable to the business.
- Working with the Premier League and its licensees to drive broadcaster success; creating digital content that is of strategic importance to those stakeholders.
- Working with the team in production world-class digital content that creates new fans of the league, clubs and players. The successful candidate will have an instinct for what our audiences want, the football conversation, and a desire to tell the story of ingenious and creative ways.
- Line management of Assistant Producers who are responsible for production and delivery of social content and services.
- Build and develop cohesive and collaborative relationships across PLP departments to ensure all Producers contribute towards our digital strategy.
- You will be guided by the requirements of Premier League’s licensees while collaborating closely with the other programming teams at PLP to ensure a consistent and integrated content experience.
- You will display a creative flair and a desire to innovate, thriving on the development and implementation of new initiatives.
- Your understanding and awareness of social media platforms’ capabilities will be exemplary. You will view social media platforms as an essential mechanism to produce high-quality, compelling content that helps broadcasters to drive growth and engagement.
- A strong all-round Producer with experience in social, producing shoots, working with archive and the Adobe suite.
- Skilled digital content creator with the ability to oversee end to end production of content from commissioning through to QC
- Experience in using digital analytics to inform editorial decision and achieve consistent growth in engagement.
- Organized and proactive, experience of managing a content calendar, organizing resources and meeting deadlines.
- Significant knowledge of the skills, tools, hardware, and software necessary of a world class digital content team
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the digital and social media ecosystems and a solid analytical understanding of content performance.
- An interest and understanding of changing consumption habits and what content people watch and why they engage.
- A clear passion for the changing media landscape and the opportunities that brings to the future of sports digital broadcasting
- Extensive knowledge of football and the Premier League, understand the brand and ethos – be vital, be collaborative, courageous, curious, and innovative
