As a result of internal promotions we have several vacancies for Research Delivery Support Officers to join us on our mission, with post holders actively contributing to the wider University Strategy through providing specialist project support.
Research Services operates under the leadership of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) and the line-management of the Director of Research Services. It is the primary support department for: research quality; research systems; research projects funding and compliance; research projects development, costing and delivery support, research ethics and governance and research operations.
Research Delivery Support Officers provide support to Principal Investigators (PIs) on projects to ensure research excellence outputs are achieved, income generation to the University Group is maximised and to ensure the delivery meets University objectives and the requirements of the funder.
The position sits within Research Delivery Support, one of seven closely linked teams comprising Research Services that coordinate research support across the University, the other teams being: research quality; research systems; research finance and compliance; research funding and development, research ethics and governance and research operations.
The post-holder, with the support of the Research Delivery Support Partner, will provide hands-on delivery support to high/medium risk externally funded projects across the project lifecycle and support internally sponsored strategic projects with multiple stakeholders alongside supporting some pre-award activities. This is an exciting opportunity to actively engage in supporting leading researchers in meeting delivery goals and objectives and managing special projects to support the delivery of the University Research Strategy. You will be expected to undertake and facilitate project management interventions with specific responsibility for project planning, monitoring and support for project execution from start to finish.
