Centre for Research in Social Policy
The Centre for Research in Social Policy is seeking a quantitative social researcher to join its team carrying out world-renowned applied research on low income, living standards and related issues. The post holder will take part in a range of research projects to produce quantitative evidence on issues related to low income. Current projects include annual updates of Households below a Minimum Income Standard, Local Child Poverty Indicators the Cost of a Child. The Centre has a steady flow of new projects commissioned by a range of funders, and it is important that team members are able to adapt to new challenges as they arise. We are looking for someone who has experience in undertaking quantitative analysis of large data sets, and who is able to use an understanding of social policy to analyse and write about the results. Candidates should also have good interpersonal skills. The role would suit a social researcher with a strong analytical mind, a genuine and demonstrable interest in social policy and above all the adaptability and imagination required to take up new challenges and work as part of a team.
