Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to support a research project examining why disparities emerge in early cognitive development, funded by the ESRC. This longitudinal project will seek to examine how language and executive functions develop in the early years, and why disparities emerge over time between children from advantaged backgrounds and children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The post holder will assist with setting up the initial stages of the project, including assisting with piloting the cognitive measures, preparing study materials, recruiting families and their young children to take part and assisting with the first phase of data collection in the lab and participant homes. Experience with young children, conducting research and a strong academic background in Developmental Psychology, including knowledge of research methods is essential.
