Fixed term for 3 years, 18.5 hours per week
The Centre for Cultural Ecologies in in the School of Arts and Humanities is looking to appoint a part-time Research Assistant to work in collaboration with the Director of Enterprise and Knowledge Exchange. You will support the development of arts and humanities approaches to cultural production through place-based making, external partnership working, knowledge exchange and creative co-production with businesses, arts and cultural organisations, communities and community partners
.
You will join us at an exciting time. Through projects such as Temporary Contemporary and Cultures of Place, collaborations with Kirklees Year of Music, Kirklees Visual Arts Network, WOVEN in Kirklees, Wilson's Republic, and many others, you will work with a research team to enrich the creative and cultural industries offer within Kirklees and more broadly, West Yorkshire. You will also help the team to establish an international reputation for place-based working with the establishment of national and international partnerships and collaborations.
Contributing to the organisation and administration of the project strands, you will prepare and monitor activities aligned to knowledge exchange and public engagement; external partnership working across a range of cultural, heritage and tourism strategies; maintenance of data/information for publications (catalogues, journal articles, edited publications , practice led/based portfolio s); support in helping to develop evaluation strategies/materials and pathways to impact, day-to-day communications with academics, researchers, external partners, creative and cultural communities.
This is a collaboratively driven project, and we are seeking enthusiastic researchers with an interest in working in the field of knowledge exchange and co-creative production with different communities.

If you are a current student at the University, you are welcome to apply for part-time roles of 15 hours or less per week, unless you are a part-time postgraduate student, in which case you can also apply for full time roles, subject to any visa requirements.
