Job description
We are looking to appoint a research assistant jointly between the laboratories of Profs Miriam Klein-Flugge and Charlotte Stagg on their funded studies into human ultrasound neuromodulation. The post is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital and the Tinsley Building, Mansfield Road Oxford.
The post is for a fixed term (funded to 22nd October 2024).
You will collaborate with other researchers in designing and conducting research into human ultrasound neuromodulation that is of an international standard, and that is carried out expertly, rigorously and in accordance with ethical guidelines. You will use MRI and ultrasound neurostimulation techniques and will need to show some independence in conducting your work. You will help with ongoing projects (recruitment, data collection), participate actively in the lab (e.g., during lab meetings), and be part of a thriving community of researchers working in related subject areas.
You will have or be close to the completion of a Master’s in Neuroscience, or Clinical Neuroscience or a closely related discipline. With previous research experience in human neuroscience and a proven track record of peer-reviewed publications, you will bring particular experience in working with non-invasive brain stimulation in humans (e.g., using TMS).
