Job description
The post holder will work across the site to manage the staff and day-to-day organisation of the Medical and Dental Education Centres at all sites Lincoln County Hospital. Grantham and Pilgrim Hospital Boston. Providing managerial responsibility for the delivery of professional teaching activities and training programs.
- To provide support to the DME/ADME/DDME with the strategic direction, planning and leadership for the management of postgraduate medical education at both Lincoln and Boston. Co-ordinating the education activities of all sites (including Grantham) developing a common Trust wide approach to the provision of medical education and training.
- To ensure implementation of local, regional and national directives, guidelines and policies relating to postgraduate medical education.
- To maximise utilisation of resources and development of common strategies to enhance medical education development on both sites for the future.
- Promote and advance the study of medicine working with Health Education England to provide an infrastructure for the medical education of postgraduate training schemes, for both hospital and community based trainee and career grade doctors.
- Any other duties delegated by the Assistant Director of Medical Education.
- Project development and implementation including monitoring, evaluation and adjustments of strategies to ensure the desired outcomes.
- Interpret information published locally, regionally and nationally on developments in Medical Education, bench-mark and assess impact on the Trust
