Job description
Are you Interested in working for a world top 100 university?
We have an exciting opportunity in the Department of Psychology a Research Assistant.
The role involves working on two research projects aimed at assessing the mental health and psychological well-being profiles of adults and exploring their experiences of completing different questionnaire measures. One project relates to university students, the other relates to autistic adults.
The research projects will involve the creation and adaptation of online surveys that include various mental health and well-being measures along with open-text qualitative questions to gain insights into people’s experiences. Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) workshops will also be conducted, involving stakeholders such as students, service users, practitioners, and experts from professional organisations. The goal is to gather valuable perspectives on common mental health measures and adapted measures. The research findings will be used to assess the reliability, validity, and acceptability of these measures. Through collaboration with external professional bodies and organisations, our research findings will be shared with other professional services, including higher education services and policy makers.
The projects are funded by Research England, as part of the QR-Policy support fund for Knowledge Exchange, and are led by Dr Emma Broglia ([email protected]) and Dr Megan Freeth ([email protected]) in the Department of Psychology.
We are committed to exploring flexible working opportunities which benefit the individual and University.
We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.
We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
