We are looking for a Research Assistant to join the Department of Respiratory Sciences to support projects led by Prof. Manish Pareek and his team. In particular, the IMMERSE project: Developing a sustainable resource for involvement and awareness in health research for recent migrants in the East Midlands by undertaking a systematic review of relevant literature and writing a report on migrants’ understanding of medical research and of Anti-Microbial Resistance. The post holder will also undertake a systematic literature review and contribute to a report (meta-analysis) on Anti-Microbial Resistance for a related project.
This role will also include supporting the qualitative research aspects of such projects through direct engagement with migrant communities, developing questionnaires, carrying out qualitative interviews and focus groups and carrying out qualitative and/or quantitative analyses.
You will have an Honours degree and/or relevant experience as well as practical experience and knowledge of applying relevant research skills and techniques. You will have the ability to deliver outputs on time and to the required quality, and demonstrable research potential and enthusiasm for the subject area. You will be an exceptional problem solver with great analytical skills, a team player and an excellent communicator.
