The Department of Social Policy and Intervention is seeking a Research & Evaluation Officer to work with a research group led by Professor Lucie Cluver (Accelerate Team) and Dr Jamie Lachman (Global Parenting Initiative). The Accelerate Team and the Global Parenting Initiative (GPI) work in tandem to support the well-being of children, adolescents, and families in resource-limited settings. Together, these initiatives focus on evidenced-based support within education, poverty reduction, gender-sensitive programming, health, and violence prevention (Accelerate Team), and the promotion of interventions that promote playful parenting and learning through play and prevent sexual, physical, and emotional violence against children globally (GPI).
A Research & Evaluation Officer is being recruited to this new post to evaluate and manage quantitative short surveys currently being conducted by our partners with participants in conflict or crisis-affected contexts. The postholder will have prior experience running quantitative surveys, familiarity with fieldwork in crisis contexts and prior experience working in parenting and/or humanitarian settings. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in managing quantitative research within the parenting children in crisis context.
This is a fixed-term post until 31st March 2024 with possibility of extension (subject to funding).
