OVERVIEW:
You are passionate about sports. You have experience writing queries and reports and working within robust databases. You stay calm, cool and collected in high-pressure situations, and have experience providing stellar customer service.
Be part of a team that produces and analyzes statistics for professional sports broadcasts and other affiliates, such as Fox Sports, CBS, the Associated Press and various other sports related content. The Broadcast Research Analyst is responsible for producing specialized sports statistics reports that will be used by TV broadcasters and other researchers in preparation for upcoming games and during live events.
Sportradar analysts must have flexibility in their schedule as working hours include evening shifts and weekends to cover live events for the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB and college sports.
THE CHALLENGE:
Generate, analyze and adjust custom reports based on client needs.
Communicate efficiently and effectively with league partners, teams and researchers.
Utilize SQL code to generate charts and reports from robust data sets.
Assist with QA and maintenance of the research tool and datasets.
Utilize ticketing systems to communicate directly with clients as well as internally to track the progression of issues.
Leverage sports knowledge to create data-driven insights for broadcasts.
Meet time sensitive deadlines.
Identify potential quality issues and escalate as needed.
Perform other ad hoc duties as needed.
Flexible schedule, with the ability to work weeknights, weekends and holidays.
YOUR PROFILE:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
Prior experience with programming/coding strongly preferred (SQL, XML, Python, HTML, CSS, etc.)
Fundamental understanding of major sports (NBA, MLB, and, NHL)
Works effectively under pressure and maintains a positive attitude.
Self-motivated, with strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task and maintain high attention to details.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to anticipate needs and proactively suggest improvements.
Ability to work both independently and as a team to quickly and effectively resolve technical issues.
Data analysis and reporting experience preferred.
Passionate about sports.
Pay Range: $45,000 - $65,000
Sportradar intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications, and location.
