ABOUT THE ROLE

The Reporting and Insights function is a new capability within the Service Performance team and is responsible for the production of data driven insight needed by the Press’s Executive Committee and the leaders of the Centres of Excellence within the Technology and Operations organisation. This insight will allow the Press to put the customer at the heart of our decision making and drive service performance across the Tech & Ops CoEs.

Reporting into the Head of Service Performance, you will lead a team of Reporting and Insights Analysts responsible for the design and delivery of a full set of operational reports spanning Technology, Operations (Customer Services, Supply Chain, Inventory & Manufacturing) and Sustainability. The team will work collaboratively with Technology Service Owners, CoE Directors and Business Partners to highlight areas of concerns in order to drive remediation of service performance issues.

You will be responsible for developing an understanding of business processes within the team, better enabling the creation of a suite of fit-for-purpose reports and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction. You will also responsible for the design and production of a suite of exec level KPIs, based on a rolled-up view of operational metrics. This will be presented by COE Leads, in a clear and meaningful format to aid exec level decision making.

The lead role is also responsible for the efficiency of the Reporting & Insights function and via close collaboration with Technology and Architecture, lead automation initiatives to drive down headcount costs and ensure the team maintain focus on value-add activities.

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

ABOUT YOU

You will have:

  • Experience in building relationships across different groups and functions
  • Stakeholder management from operational to senior level
  • Proven work experience as a team leader
  • Demonstrable experience working with large data sets and data analysist tools
  • Ability to explore data, process it, and think very deeply about how to communicate any findings to management
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
  • Experience in creating highly visual dashboards and scorecards
  • Understanding of KPIs, KQIs and SLAs and reporting against those
  • The ability to carry out data quality control, validation, and linkage
  • End-to-end Service Performance reporting would be desirable but not necessary
  • Experiences of BI platforms such as Tableau or Power BI would be advantage
  • A basic understanding of service performance management and service operations ways of working
  • Ability to build long lasting partnership
