About the Role

Reporting into the Data & Reporting Manager, this role will be key in both laying the foundations for, and making continuous improvements to the Enterprise level Data & Reporting function within Voneus. The Data & Reporting function is a new team, set up to hold the pen on all reporting for non-financial indicators, provide insights and analysis to aid management decisions, and to support in key data-driven processes such as payments to our Build Partners.

The team is likely to grow within the next 6-12 months; opportunity to line manage junior analyst dependent on fit (currently also recruiting for this position) and potentially advance to a Enterprise Data Lead role dependent on performance.

What you will be responsible for

• Supporting Data & Reporting Manager and the Data Lead with building out an enterprise level reporting framework and processes, and taking ownership of producing weekly/monthly reporting;
• Working with teams across the organisation to understand their datasets, support with building templates and new processes for data gathering, with data integrity in mind at all times;
• Analysis of key datasets, provide recommendations to Data & Reporting Manager/Senior Management on new metrics that could be used to drive performance, work with relevant teams to clear queries and reconciliation differences within their data;
• Enhance data controls through rolling out improved processes across the organisation;
• Support with production and analysis of portfolio level forecast, and build delivery volume budget; and,
• Run data validation processes as necessary

What we are looking for

• Strong Excel skills, with an ability to quickly analyse large datasets, visualise where necessary;
• Good at building relationships across a variety of departments; key stakeholders to this role will span across the organisation from Design/Build/Sales/Install;
• Problem-solving mindset. The organisation is still relatively immature with its data/reporting capabilities; the right person for the role will be able to think on their feet and make quick decisions around best data sources to use/how to get to an answer with limited information;
• Ability to work with large datasets, both drilling down into granular level as well as rolling up/summarising into different layers of reporting, up to Board level in an appropriate format;
• Experience working in a commercial Finance or FP&A function would be nice to have, but not essential;
• Power BI/Tableau experience preferable, but not essential; and,
• The right person for the role will also be energetic whilst keen to grow and develop alongside Voneus, as we are a small yet ambitious organisation with challenging growth targets. This means the environment is fast paced, with frequent change in strategic focus from management, making it a challenging yet rewarding place to work
