ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sr. AML Data and Reporting Analyst supports the Financial Crimes Monitoring Strategy & Technology team with data analysis and reporting to advance model optimization efforts, as well as other projects and initiatives. Additionally, this position leads the reporting efforts within the BSA/AML program, including but not limited to operational reporting, model performance reporting, and other ad-hoc reports for Senior Leadership.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- The Sr. AML Data and Reporting Analyst assists with the maintenance and support of BSA Data, Models and Tools, ensuring that ongoing system performance adheres to bank standards. This maintenance includes performance monitoring, KPI/KRI reporting, as well as data analysis.
- Lead the development of model performance reporting to effectively assess model KPIs/KRIs on a recurring basis.
- Work in partnership with the AML Officer, FIU Director, KYC Director, and other BSA/AML department leadership to provide necessary reporting to support the management of daily operations.
- Provide data upon request for various purposes not limited to audit and regulatory requests, research and investigations, and executive and board meetings.
- Maintain a strong relationship with our IT partners and all BSA vendors in order to understand data lineage associated various AML Models to ensure accurate data analysis and reporting.
- Assists with the model governance program and the associated data controls owned by the department, including data validations/testing.
- Collaborate with other personnel within Financial Crimes Monitoring Strategy & Technology team to assist with projects as needed.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate would possess:
- Knowledge of AML/BSA systems, data, and KPIs/KRIs
- 4-6 years of relevant experience required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Experience with data analysis tools and reporting dashboards (i.e., Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, etc.), as well as programming languages (i.e., SQL, Python, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to identify and escalate issues and offer thoughtful solutions to complicated matters.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Keen attention to detail, superior analytical skills with ability to compile ad hoc data upon request.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience with data validation concepts and techniques.
