Company description

Certi-fi Schemes Limited runs the Energy Performance Validation Scheme - a process where renewable energy retailers and their customers can independently verify that the performance and energy saving estimates stated have been calculated using correct industry procedures. This creates confidence and trust in the Green Economy.

Experience, Skills and Competencies

EPVS is unique in its field, so it is unlikely that applicants will have had previous experience in a similar role. Candidates who have worked within the renewable energy industry, or who come from an analytical or compliance checking background, may find skills gained in these roles helpful. However, we are prepared to help develop the competencies required to be successful in this role.

Whilst we need people to work in our validation team, we are also interested in candaidates that have additional skills, such as Excel competencies, marketing, software development, etc.

Through our selection process, you should be able to demonstrate:

· Strong numerical and analytical skills and a high degree of accuracy and consistency

· Able to communicate clearly and professionally, both written and verbally, to our members and customers

· Computer literate

· Organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines – including the ability to handle several projects simultaneously

· Self-motivated, positive team member with the ability to work independently

Job description

Responsible for validating contracts and supporting documentation uploaded to the Energy Performance Validation Scheme (EPVS) online system (including telephoning consumers), account managing retailers and producing ad hoc reports.

Main functions of the role

1. Commit to a culture of ongoing learning and development in a supportive and friendly team environment.

2. Validate contractual information uploaded to our platform, within agreed timescales, checking that performance and savings estimations relating to renewable energy products, such as solar pv or air source heat pumps, have been calculated correctly by our retail members and have been clearly communicated and understood to consumers.

3. Contacting consumers by telephone and email to ensure that estimates and projections have been understood.

4. To be the main point of contact for retailers onboarding with EPVS in order to analyse and provide feedback on documentation submitted for approval, and to provide training and ongoing support during their membership.

5. Reviewing consumer queries or complaints requested by a third party (e.g. finance lender) and provide a detailed EPVS report on the findings.

6. Producing and distributing monthly invoices to relevant third parties (e.g. finance lenders, EPVS Members) within agreed timescales.

7. Liaising with appropriate external third parties e.g. finance lenders/brokers/consumer protection bodies with regards to existing EPVS members and new retailers joining the Scheme.

8. Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues, customers, visitors and other individuals visiting or working in the business.

9. Representing the company as an honest, knowledgeable and conscientious ambassador.

10. Undertaking any other duties in order to meet personal, team and organisational objectives following consultation with your line manager.

Salary: £20,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

We are based in Chorley, although some of our team work two days a week from home.
