Job Purpose/Overall Responsibility
Assisting the Logistics department and reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Administrator will support the day to day administration within the Logistics department. Adding value through process improvement and managing a busy workload the role will involve general administration, including but not limited to: updating electronic records, scheduling deliveries and warehouse activities, problem solving, stock maintenance and ensuring equipment is compliant with health and safety requirements. The role will require use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc) and the Warehouse MIS system to maintain and report on key departmental information.
Areas of Responsibilities
- Manage data entry and reporting on MIS, ensuring all paper work is archived
- Liaise with the warehouse team and ensure all goods in are checked, system data updated appropriately and report any goods in discrepancies to the Logistics Manager and Procurement
- Liaise with Client Services and warehouse team to complete the periodic stock checks with high levels of accuracy
- Assist with stock planning, master scheduling and warehouse activities ensuring material supply meets production requirements
- Prepare and complete the shipping manifests / documents as required for different shipments and forward as required
- Liaise with suppliers and external carriers and schedule intake deliveries effectively
- Schedule the periodic equipment maintenance for the Fulfilment and Logistics departments and engage with department team leads to complete the maintenance tasks and logs
- Monitor and support the post room activities
- Assist the Logistics and Fulfilment department managers with staff rota / time sheets
- Assist the department managers to manage suppliers and transportation companies recommending improvements and cost saving where possible
- Provide reports capturing key and salient points for the Logistics department as requested by the department manager

- Comply with and meet the department's quality standards to ensure efficiency exceeds Client Satisfaction
- Assist the logistics department manager with day to day administration.
- Compliance with the company's HSE policy and procedures, relevant to your role
Skills and Experience Required
- Comprehensive administration experience within a busy environment (logistics/distribution desirable)
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and make informed decisions
- Effective communication both written and verbal
- Able to juggle tasks and prioritise whilst working to deadlines
- Methodical and thorough approach to work
- Able to recommend improvements to improve working practices
- An innovative approach to work with the ability to increase departmental efficiency.
