Experienced Payroll Officer required for busy online based accounting firm.
Essential skills and Experience:
- Payroll processing experience including use of payroll software (BrightPay would be advantageous), knowledge of statutory payments and HMRC/HR legislation;
- Computer skills – payroll software/MS Word/MS Excel/Zoom/Outlook;
- Communication skills – excellent telephone manner and empathetic approach to clients essential, good written communication skills needed;
- Ability to prioritise, be organised and methodical in work processes.
The role:
We work with many clients with a bespoke payroll service to clients
Main duties include, but not limited to:
- Payroll processing (weekly/4 weekly/monthly) – numerous small employers;
- PAYE calculations and reconciliations;
- Holiday calculations (excel spreadsheets);
- HMRC compliance (Statutory payments, AOE, PAYE queries etc);
- Pension compliance work (payments, declarations of compliance);
- Resolving client queries where possible;
- Maintaining excel spreadsheets
- Telephone duties (answering calls to take payroll hours/client queries/divert calls);
- All other routine payroll administration.
