Through Business Banking (BB) our global network offers comprehensive support and services to businesses in the SME market. From expanding overseas to managing the cash and trade flows of an established enterprise, the Business Banking team of Relationship Managers and Product Specialists provides a range of end-to- end solutions designed to help small businesses reach their potential.
We are seeking a customer focused person to join this team in the role of Relationship Manager.
The Relationship Manager will provide dedicated customer service to a portfolio of clients with accountability for sales, service, risk and operational delivery. This role will have both external and internal stakeholders, Internal stakeholders may include Sales, Product Development, Risk & Compliance teams.
- Face to face meetings with SME clients, with an average of 60 clients in portfolio
- Managing portfolio incomes of approximately £1.5 – £2m and SME clients with a £2-15m turnover
- Driving revenue growth through understanding customer needs and by adopting a needs-based approach which engages clients and increases new business
- Growing the business sustainably, by identifying opportunities to expand a portfolio and broadening client relationships by leveraging HSBC's extensive network
- Building a strong understanding of the client's business and industry to promote insights, enrich client conversations and deliver fair outcomes
- Comprehensive understanding of the client through pro-active credit risk assessments and customer due diligence reviews
- Experience of working in relevant environments, i.e. Relationship Management, Business/Corporate Banking
- Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs
- Evidence of commercial lending will be advantageous
- Experience of leading and delivering excellent customer service and proactively looking for innovative ways to improve this service
- Please Note: This is a hybrid role covering the Cambridge and East Anglia Region. As such, the successful applicant will be required to spend at least 3 days a week visiting clients or working from the office.
