Job Description Summary
Responsible for supporting clients within the SME portfolio with all their banking needs including lending, deposits and a wide range of other services. There is an expectation to grow the portfolio, by attracting high value clients, through becoming the go to banking professional within your local community, or through bringing more of the banks proposition to your existing clients, whilst ensuring the effective management of risk. This role is an integral part of the local market, developing business opportunity, and representing the group in the professional community. As a senior colleague you will be an ambassador for change, an early adopter of tools designed to improve the client and colleague experience and support your wider team and region to achieve their objectives.

The Role:
Would you like to help local East England based businesses to prosper by offering the funding, support and encouragement they need to grow? We have an exciting opportunity for a Relationship Director within our Watford & Milton Keynes Area, where clients will typically have a turnover of between £10 million and £25 million pounds.

Joining the Watford & Milton Keynes Team, which forms part of the East England Region within Commercial Banking, you'll be responsible for supporting clients with all their banking needs including lending, deposits and a wide range of other services. You'll have a portfolio of approximately 60 Groups of clients based within the team geography. There is an expectation to grow the portfolio so you'll be promoting the bank with professionals and key influencers in the local community to develop new business opportunities and bring more clients to Lloyds Banking Group.

What you'll be doing:
  • Providing excellent service to our Clients, putting them at the heart of what you do, making valuable contributions at every interaction and becoming a “trusted advisor”
  • Being seen as the “go to” banker in your geographic area of responsibility. Maintaining a high profile with external influencers and the local business community to achieve our aim of being the best bank for clients
  • Providing a range of funding solutions to our clients from our Term Lending product range tailoring them to Client needs
  • Building relationships with Group Partner companies and through them bring the whole bank to the client delivering products to meet their needs
What we'll need from you:
  • Results focused – You'll take personal responsibility for delivering results, whilst readily accepting change and utilising a growth mind set to focus on client outcomes
  • Growing market share of Clients & Lending - Highly proficient at building and maintaining positive relationships with external professionals and adept at winning good volumes of higher value new client relationships
  • Providing outstanding knowledge of clients - Uses specialist credit and sector knowledge along with all available digital tools to deliver excellent client experiences whilst identifying ways to grow income, balance sheet and market share and managing associated risks
  • People – Having a growth mindset and be keen to adopt and use key tools that improve the client experience and demonstrate the value a Face-to-Face Relationship Director brings to a client’s business
  • Environmental Awareness - Promotes the bank’s image through strong ethics & integrity across a range of clients, prospects & professionals
