Relationship Director
Exeter
As a Barclays Relationship Director, you will be a part of the Corporate Banking that supports clients in the UK and around the world. We provide corporate banking services to medium enterprises, large UK and global corporations, and financial institutions. The Public Sector Team is one of the four UK Corporate Banking segments. It is a UK wide team comprising Coverage and Debt Finance leading and managing a portfolio of client.

What will you be doing?
- Specialising in Public Sector at VP level, you have accountability for managing a portfolio of Public Sector
- Leading cross-discipline Deal Teams to increase return on tangible equity and improve capital efficiency through the restructuring of existing loans and new lending
- Developing your portfolio through increasing wallet share and reducing the cost-to-serve our clients through the introduction of banking efficiencies
- Providing excellent customer service and building deep customer relationships
- Exhibiting extensive knowledge of the sub-sectors in the portfolio and being recognised internally and externally as a sector expert
- Driving the ESG and Citizenship agenda with the sector and your portfolio
- Leading and supporting an indirect team of colleagues in and outside of the immediate team; and
- Accounting for the regular engagement with external stakeholders including financial and legal advisers
- Experience in a client facing role with customer service focus and attention to detail
- Extensive knowledge of income drivers
- Credit risk management expertise – expected to have completed risk
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Salesforce
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Debt restructuring experience required; and
- Knowledge of the Public Sector sub-sectors preferable but not essential

In the heart of Exeter, situated on main High Street, the Corporate office is located on the top floor of the site above Exeter branch. The building also houses Retail Banking, Business Banking, Premier Banking and Mortgage Advisors. It’s a vibrant environment that welcomes customers from the local area to really help them in their banking journey.
