Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Long Covid Rehab Hub based at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. Short term funding has been provided run a multidisciplinary rehab hub for patients with persisting symptoms post Covid.

The successful candidate will work with specialists in vocational rehabilitation, respiratory, chronic fatigue and psychology. Your role will be to assist in the delivery of rehabilitation in both face to face and virtual formats.

To provide high quality efficient and responsive rehabilitation to patients being treated within the Covid Rehab Hub.

To treat complex outpatients with long covid identifying and reporting needs to Therapists promptly.

The post holder will provide skilled support to the Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists working within the Covid Rehab Hub. They will be expected to work autonomously.

The post holder will work within clearly defined boundaries of their Assistant Practitioner Competencies and carry out specific delegated clinical tasks and responsibilities as defined by the registered therapists.

We welcome applications from those who possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrate flexibility and initiative and can prioritise their workload in a busy environment. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and an aptitude for team working.

Flexibility to travel to other sites is essential.

We are seeking applicants who have had experience working in a therapy environment, and understand the physical, cognitive and emotional needs of patients experiencing the effects of long covid.

Basic IT skills are required, as the service operates with electronic patient records.
