Front Desk Receptionist- NoMad London

NoMad, one of the most stylish hotel brands from America, is taking residence in the heart of Covent Garden inside the historic building famously known as The Bow Street Magistrates’ Court. As the NoMad’s first presence outside the United States, NoMad London will continue to offer a culture of gracious hospitality combined with understated elegance and comfort.

THE BUILDING

The iconic 19th century building will be thoughtfully transformed into a ninety-one room hotel with much of the original architectural features preserved. The building’s original Magistrates' Courtroom will be reimagined as a space for private events while a museum with rotating exhibitions will honour its history.A collaboration with New York-based interior design firm, the design draws inspiration from the original materials, colour palette and elaborate architecture of the building while exploring the relationship between the New York and London art scenes.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a warm, welcoming, and professional front desk receptionist to join our team. The front desk receptionist will be the first points of contact in the hotel, providing a smooth check in and useful information to all guests.

Duties for receptionist include:

  • Welcome all guests at any time in a friendly and helpful manner; register arriving guests ensuring that full details are obtained.
  • Escort guests to their rooms on checking in, explain and endeavor to upsell services and products provided by the hotel.
  • Enter all arrivals' check in detail accurately in the computer and modifies any information correctly with particular care towards spelling and room rates.
  • Ensure that all rooms are sold at the best possible rate, thus maximising hotel revenue.
  • Update reservations, to input and record cancellations and amendments, making sure all bookings are accurate.

Ideal front desk receptionist candidate must have minimum of two years of experience in similar role in other luxury/ lifestyle hospitality operation.Knowledge of Opera preferred.
